Newhaven Ferry Terminal

BRAC Projects has completed phase one of the refurbishment programme at the Newhaven Ferry Terminal, adding a range of laminated furniture and washrooms to the facility to improve the staff and customer experience. 

Combining Function with Aesthetic

Working alongside the building contractor, ferry owner, port owners, and customs teams, BRAC Projects have produced laminated furniture and washrooms as well as the reception desks, pelmet, and surrounding columns.

Using over 40 years of market experience, their in-house turnkey design, fabrication, and installation services have been utilised to support customers and staff alike. As a busy port with 21 crossings per week, the facilities are naturally used on a frequent basis, which is why Newhaven Ferry Terminal truly needed the transformation.

From a functional perspective, the specialised cubicles take into account the unique environmental challenges of being situated metres away from the sea, as well as the need for accessibility features. BRAC Projects also understood the need for aesthetic consistency, ensuring that all facilities are finished using the operators brand colours.

Preparing the terminal for the future

BRAC Projects displayed an appreciation of the terminal’s immediate and long-term requirements with upgrades that had transformed the atmosphere and are ready for future developments and challenges. 

The completed works leave Newhaven Ferry Terminal perfectly positioned for phases two and three of the process, which will extend to the staff areas and customs desks. Once finished, the terminal will be more than ready to support the thousands of customers that use the crossing each week.
