Do public building washrooms need to meet accessibility standards?
Yes. Approved Document M of the Building Regulations sets mandatory minimum requirements for accessible sanitary provision, and the Equality Act 2010 requires service providers to make reasonable adjustments. At least one cubicle in every public washroom should be to accessible dimensions, and all counter heights, door widths and grab rail positions should be checked against current standards. Bespoke manufacture is the most reliable way to hit these dimensions exactly.
Can BRAC Projects work in occupied public buildings?
Yes. Most public buildings cannot close for a refurbishment. We are experienced in phased, out-of-hours and live-environment working, and we plan deliveries and installation sequences to minimise disruption to the building’s normal operation.
What materials do you use for high-traffic public building washrooms?
Solid grade laminate for cubicle panels and wet areas — it is fully waterproof, impact-resistant and easy to clean. Solid surface such as Corian for vanity tops and reception counters where a seamless, non-porous finish is specified. All materials are chosen for whole-life performance rather than lowest initial cost.

Yes. Solid grade laminate is available in a wide range of colours and finishes. We can match to an existing colour scheme or brand palette, and we can supply specification sheets and physical samples for approval before manufacture.
