Northwood School

With a new 6th form common room being created to allow the students not only to have personal study time with access to the internet, but also a relaxing space to enjoy with fellow students. We worked hand in hand direct with the school and the architect to achieve these aims.

Brac Projects carried out the following work:

  • Created a range of bespoke furniture and seating areas
  • Fixed pigeon-hole units were created for use as bag drop areas
  • Mobile pigeon-hole units were created using our supply chain to provide powder coated mild steel frames on castors. These units also incorporated matching foldaway tables that could all be moved around the common room as required
  • Fixed benching and worktables with internet points were created as study areas
  • CafĂ© style tables were all created with matching frames to allow the students to socialise
  • Working with another key member of the BRAC supply chain, a range of bench style foam seating and backs finished in a leather look fabric were provided complete with tables

Supply and installation of a made to measure tea point with fridge and microwave to allow the students the facility to prepare their own drinks and hot food were also supplied and installed.

All items were manufactured on an MDF substrate faced in specified laminates and 2mm PVC edging some of which were non-standard products.

With the support of our laminate supplier International Decorative Services we were able to achieve the overall finished look.

BRAC Projects also supplied a matching range of seating and soft furnishings including sofas and stools to complete the overall look.
